The Bremen Research Cluster for Dynamics in Logistics, which is coordinated by BIBA, will work with the Institute of Shipping Economics and Logistics Bremen/Bremerhaven and the Bremen port management company bremenports for “Sondervermögen Hafen“ to establish an Innovation Community "Smartport Transfer". The aim here is to drive forward the digitalization and automation of logistics processes in the ports of Bremen. This will be done within various transfer projects in collaboration between research and industry. The applicants have been confirmed funding of 5 million euros from the BMBF. The innovation community will officially start at the beginning of 2025.
