Cybersecurity in focus - SMEs inform themselves at BIBA

On September 30th, 30 representatives from business, science and industry associations gathered at BIBA to discuss various aspects of cybersecurity in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Given the increasing number of attacks and the need for countermeasures, the topic is more relevant than ever. The keynote presentations addressed the issues from a legal and business perspective, as well as from an enterprise defense background. These three aspects of cybersecurity were further explored and discussed in a World Café. The conclusion was that cybersecurity affects everyone and deserves special attention in the course of advancing digitalization. Afterwards, networking at the Get-together attracted a particularly good response after a long break due to the pandemic - and of course it was safe: 3G with distance and mask. As an addition to the program, the TISiM mobile was on site and informed the visitors about the use of TISiM services.

The event was organized by the Mittelstand 4.0-Kompetenzzentrum Bremen in cooperation with BIBA, the Bremen Chamber of Commerce, the Bremen University of Applied Sciences and the associations CERT@VDE, IFIT e.V. and TISiM.
