On April 8, 2024 we had the pleasure of welcoming representatives of SEBRAE from Brazil to our institute. The delegation was here to learn about good practice examples of cooperation with small and medium-sized enterprises and approaches to knowledge transfer from research to practice. The collaboration was initiated by the guest stay of Stefan Wiesner, the scientific director of the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Bremen-Oldenburg in Brazil in October last year.

During the visit, different BIBA projects were presented in which innovative technologies for companies have been implemented. The visitors were particularly interested in topics such as Human-Robot Collaboration, Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things in the application areas of logistics, production, aviation and automotive. There was a particular focus on the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Bremen-Oldenburg, which supports small and medium-sized enterprises in the region. SEBRAE showed great interest in establishing a similar model in Brazil.

It was a very productive visit and we look forward to continuing our long-term cooperation and exchange with SEBRAE.
