Digitalization for More Transparency and Efficiency in Logistics

Tests at one of the world's largest car terminals show: an intelligent planning and control system can increase the efficiency of car handling in ports. In the successfully completed Isabella research project, the partners BIBA, BLG LOGISTICS and 28Apps Software examined the internal processes of a car terminal and developed a tailored planning and control system. In the follow-up project Isabella 2.0, we are now looking at the external transport modes of train, ship and truck and are expanding the control system to include artificial intelligence methods.
