Lectures, laboratory visits and open-air concerts: On Saturday, June 24, 2023, the Open Campus of the University of Bremen was very busy with around 20,000 guests. The guided tours in the BIBA Shop Floor were also well received - interested guests from Bremen and the surrounding area learned how production and logistics can be realized in a truly "green" way - away from compensation payments to the use of renewable energies and the application of efficiency technologies. The example from the Brede learning factory "Energy self-sufficient production", in which the students construct an environmentally friendly pump that is used in the Blockland to protect rare birds, generated enthusiasm and further discussion.
