In the projects Isabella and Isabella 2.0, the partners BIBA, BLG LOGISTICS and 28Apps have developed Optimization-based and AI-supported methods for the coordination of driving movements and digital support of processes at the Bremerhaven automobile terminal.

On June 14, 2023, the final event of the project took place at BLG's Eurotop. In front of the impressive backdrop with a view of the container and automobile terminal, the partners reviewed the project duration and presented the results. Guests learned how optimization-based algorithms can support complex terminal control, how user-friendly mobile apps can help various users communicate relevant information, and how new training approaches can be designed based on VR technology. In addition, demonstrators gave them a practical impression of how the innovative planning and control system can increase the efficiency and transparency of car handling.

Initial tests on BLG's terminals produced positive results and demonstrated workable solutions. BIBA would like to thank the project partners for the excellent cooperation and is pleased to be able to contribute to more efficiency in the port.
