A delegation from the Bremen Chamber of Commerce and the management of the University of Bremen visited the start-ups based at BIBA on January 15, 2024. The start-ups' fields of activity range from the development and implementation of artificial intelligence (dAImension), to an AI-based voice assistant for production (COALA), to solutions for greater energy efficiency in the manufacturing industry (Heatrix). The topics addressed are highly topical and met with great interest from visitors. These innovative solutions, which have been successfully transferred from research to practice, also offer significant potential for further cooperation with industry and science. With its technical infrastructure and applied scientific environment, BIBA offers an excellent breeding ground for innovative ideas and technology transfer. A prime example of a successful start-up that originated in BIBA research is Cellumation, a company that now operates worldwide and manufactures intelligent conveyor technology for production and logistics.
