The research cluster LogDynamics has been cooperating with Mae Fah Luang University in Chiang Rai for years. Researchers from the interdisciplinary IATE working group there have now paid a visit to BIBA and LogDynamics. On July 9 and 10, we welcomed them and our cooperation partners from the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB) in Potsdam as well as from the University of Évora for a scientific exchange.

The focus was on the use of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Twins in agriculture and the food industry. The topic of ensuring food quality within the supply chain and during storage with the use of modern sensor technologies was prominent on the agenda.

The guests visited BIBA and IMSAS - Institute for Microsensors, -actuators and -systems at the University of Bremen. They took the chance to gain an insight into the work of both institutes and to explore opportunities for cooperation. The highlights were the tours in the BIBA shop floor lab and the clean room at IMSAS. A guided tour of Bremen's old town and dinner on the Weser on board the Alexander-von-Humboldt rounded off the program and ensured a fun factor in addition to the scientific content.
