In 2019, BIBA will again be involved in numerous scientific conferences. Among others, two conferences will take place this summer at which Prof. Dr.-Ing Klaus-Dieter Thoben will contribute to the Program Committee.

Smart SysTech 2019 will take place on 4th and 5th of June 2019 at the Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation in Magdeburg. Topics this year are "Smart Objects in Technology & Communication", "Industry 4.0", "System Design, Integration & Applications" and "Economic, Security & Sociologic Aspects of Smart Objects".

The 24th International Symposium on Logistics (ISL 2019) welcomes its participants from the 14th to the 17th of July 2019 in Würzburg. It will deal with topics such as "Digitalization of supply chains and logistics", "Human-machine interaction in logistics" and "Boundaries between supply chain networks and platforms".
