Some work activities are physically demanding and unergonomic. This is not only detrimental to health during the working day, but especially over many years of employment. In order to make workplaces and activities more ergonomic, however, specialised knowledge is necessary, which is often not available in small and medium-sized companies. To help them evaluate and improve their activities without high initial investment, our project partner WearHealth has developed an app that uses AI to analyse and evaluate videos of activities. Recommendations for suitable exoskeletons are given based on these results. In the DIH-World project exoMATCH, BIBA compared the results of the analysis with established, manual list-based ergonomics assessment methods in laboratory tests. In addition, the app was examined for its usability in order to make it even more user-friendly and easier to access.
