Dynamics in Logistics - Successful Start to the Conference LDIC 2024 The 9th International Conference on Dynamics in Logistics (LDIC 2024) kicked off on 14 February at BIBA. The conference of the Bremen Research Cluster for Dynamics in Logistics (LogDynamics) takes place every two years in Bremen. The focus is on the dynamics of logistics processes and networks.
The program from 14 to 16 February 2024 includes theoretical, methodological and practice-oriented contributions dealing with the modelling, planning, optimization and control of supply chains and logistics networks as well as production and material flow systems. More than 80 researchers have come to Bremen to discuss current research developments in this field.
The program is flanked by lab tours and keynote speeches by renowned scientists. Prof. Dr. Gyöngyi Kovács from the Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain Research Institute at the Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki kicked things off. She spoke about the challenges of humanitarian and disaster logistics. Over the next two LDIC days, we look forward to presentations by Prof. Dr. L.A. Tavasszy (Delft University of Technology), Prof. Dr. Dirk Briskorn (University of Wuppertal) and an industry talk by Paul Bruns from ENGINIUS GmbH.
