We were happy to welcomed guests from Digital Storm and IDEMO DIHs Bosnia and Herzegovina and from Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on July 23 and 24 to BIBA!

We kicked off the visit with introductions of the participating institutions and their facilities to support the SMEs towards digitalization and innovation. Next, we continued with a tour in the BIBA shop floor lab, showcasing our innovative infrastructure and research capabilities. A special highlight was the demonstration of smart micro grids for factories with the example of energy self-sufficient pizza production. It illustrated the technological solutions and at the same time provided a culinary delight for lunch.

On the second day we had the pleasure to visit the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Bremen-Oldenburg head office, get an introduction to the DIGITAL HUB INDUSTRY and to the based there company TOPAS Industriemathematik. A special highlight were the demonstrators from the project #MOIN - Modellregion Industriemathematik showcasing diverse AI applications, among others for autonomous driving and transport route optimization.

Back in BIBA the guests learned about the project "hyBit - Hydrogen for Bremen's industrial transformation" and its green hydrogen solutions for the industry. Last but not least we exchanged ideas on future cooperation.
