BIBA is involved in the MINT4girls project with the mission of getting schoolgirls interested in research in production and logistics. This project for Bremen schools, initiated by the Bildungszentrum der Wirtschaft im Unterwesergebiet (BWU), offers schoolgirls the opportunity to immerse themselves in the exciting world of STEM professions (mathematics, information technology, natural sciences and technology) and gain exciting experiences and inspiration for their career choices.

BIBA is happy to participate in this promising project and provide insights into its research in the service of production and logistics. On January 15, the first group of girls from the Oberschule an der Helgolander Straße were guests and were able to immerse themselves in the topics of the BIBA Gaming Lab. In a workshop, the schoolgirls developed an interactive and accessible teaching application in the spirit of inclusion. The feedback was consistently positive and the participants were delighted to have used the technology and made a small contribution to research in the field of serious gaming.

In the coming weeks, we are looking forward to welcoming two more groups from the Gerhard-Rohlfs-Oberschule and the Oberschule an der Lerchenstraße in Bremen North. The participants can look forward to workshops on modeling virtual 3D worlds.
