From September 3 to 6, BIBA was present with the LogDynamics Research Cluster at the joint stand of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen at the SMM 2024 trade fair in Hamburg. Visitors from the maritime industry learned about our port-related projects and explored the potential of these innovations for their own business in dialog with our experts. Using the Isabella 2 project as an example, they learned how port handling can be optimized thanks to artificial intelligence and from the AutoLog project - what the future holds for automated driving processes and dynamic storage and logistics concepts at automotive terminals. Further examples of the use of digitalization and AI in the port were provided by the Tide2Use project, from which an intelligent pumping station and lock control system is being used in Bremen's industrial port, and the Port2Connect project, in which an intelligent port logbook is being developed for the efficient and sustainable use of port infrastructure.
